Position Details:
- To perform regular scheduled service, maintenance, startups, troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of refrigeration and HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for promoting the continued growth of the service team to current and potential new customers as a field representative of Refrigeration and HVAC.
A qualified candidate will possess a New Brunswick Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal or be working through their apprenticeship.
Responsibilities:
- Install, service and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration, air conditioning units and combined heating, ventilation & cooling systems, and repair residential heating and cooling systems
- Troubleshoot onsite mechanical issues
- Perform routine maintenance, service and warranty work
- Interact with our customers
- Follow safe work practices
- Document work performed on service assignments
- Other duties as required to meet customer/business needs
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license with a good abstract.
- Own hand tools, drill, impact and tool pouch.
- Ability to travel daily withing the service area, with some travel to the outer regions as necessary (Company vehicle provided).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts 5 days a week
- Physical requirements of the position include: lifting, pushing and pulling, standing, bending/crouching, reaching, climbing ladders, and working at heights and in tight spaces, as allowed by OHS regulations.
- The job is physically demanding and involves working on rooftops and with materials such as industrial glues and cleaning chemicals.
