Position Details:

The incumbent will work with the construction team to perform regular scheduled service, maintenance, startups, troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of refrigeration and HVAC systems.  You will also be responsible for promoting the continued growth of the service team to current and potential new customers as a field representative of Refrigeration and HVAC.

A qualified candidate will possess a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal or be working through their apprenticeship.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, service and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration, air conditioning units and combined heating, ventilation & cooling systems, and repair residential heating and cooling systems
  • Troubleshoot onsite mechanical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance, service and warranty work
  • Interact with our customers
  • Follow safe work practices
  • Document work performed on service assignments
  • Other duties as required to meet customer/business needs

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license with a good abstract.
  • Own hand tools, impact, drill, tool pouch and steel toe safety boots.
  • Ability to travel weekly (company vehicle provided)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate day or night shifts
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8-hour shifts 5 days a week
  • Physical requirements of the position include: lifting, pushing and pulling, standing, bending/crouching, reaching, climbing ladders, and working at heights and in tight spaces, as allowed by OHS regulations.
  • The job is physically demanding and involves working on rooftops and with materials such as industrial glues and cleaning chemicals.
